Abstract: Selection of reusable software components in software repositories to facilitate quality software development has always been a focal point and a big concern for software researchers. One of the most time-consuming tasks in software reusability is tracing and retrieving software components from a large repository. The selection of inapt software package can result in high cost and ultimately becomes a prime source of adverse outcome in business processes and performance of the organization. Creation of quality software depends upon the selection of the best set of components among all the alternatives present in the reusable component repository. Frequently used sets of components can be obtained by using mining algorithms. This paper proposes a component selection methodology and a method for retrieval of the optimal set of reusable components from the repository. Case-based retrieval is applied for initial filtering of components to narrow down the search space. A data mining algorithm is applied to extract the candidate set of components for a given case. Most frequent set of components aid the decision-maker to select the finest component set and also assist in suggesting the supplementary components for the case to match with the latest updates.

Abstract: Innovative activity has always been a sphere of economic activity with a difficultly predicted ratio of costs to the resulting economic effect. The size of the costs of implementing innovative activities is often determined by many factors and the effective management of these costs determines the economic success of the organization. The volume of expendable resources is one of the most important indicators of the effectiveness of any enterprise, and the expenditure of money on innovative activities is also the basis of economic security of any organization. The effectiveness of cost management is determined by how little resources have been used up and how much effect has been achieved. Uncontrolled spending of resources, and senseless spending on the modernization of the entire range of products can lead to the collapse of even the most successful innovative enterprise. The economic security of any organization associated with innovation is primarily dependent on the effective management of the costs of implementing this innovation.

Abstract: In present study corrosion studies were conducted on Al7075/SiC nanocomposites processed by powder metallurgy and stir casting techniques. The weight percentage of SiC nanoparticles was varied from 1% to 4% for preparing the nanocomposites. The erosion-corrosion studies were conducted by means of slurry pot experiment under simulated marine environment of 3.5% NaCl. The weight losses of Al7075 alloy and its nanocomposites under various experimental conditions. The studies have been performed at the specimens through using distinct sand concentrations (10-40%) varying rotational/slurry speed (500-1500rpm) and ranging impinging particle (100-600microns) respectively. Powder metallurgy processed nanocomposites showed higher weight loss when compared to those processed using cast route. Worn-out surface analysis using scanning electron microscopy revealed ploughing, abrasion and fracture as the main erosion mechanisms for all materials processed using both the processing techniques.

Abstract: TIndia’s main occupation and economy is based on agriculture. Large section of population of India is involved in some or the other form of agriculture or products related to agriculture. Agriculture plays an prominent impact on the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth of India which in turn reflects on service sector and manufacturing sector relating to consumers goods and services. Per-capita holding of land of large section of Indian population is less than two acres, and there lively-hood depends on it. Since the holding of land is in such small proportion, modern means of agriculture and technology cannot be introduced or adopted. Thereby it has a impact on earning and livelihood of people in rural areas as the productivity from these lands is not at par due to non-implementation of modern means of technology in agriculture. Deteriorating condition of soil and quality of land is also a factor which is affecting productivity. Excessive use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides to achieve greater volume of growth is the main cause of deteriorating soil conditions and quality. The vegetables and food grains are losing their nutritional value due to use of harmful chemical fertilizers and pesticides as it is having adverse effects on human body due to their consumption. The fear-some diseases in form of cancer, diabetic, blood pressure, stomach related problems, adverse effects on children’s, food poisoning, skin problem, effects on mental and physical changes, hormonal changes etc are largely related to intake and consumption of contaminated or nutrition less food or product. Due to consumption and side-effects of these harmful adulterated food products on human body, the World Health Organisation has issued a warning and awareness programmes highlighting the effects of these contaminated and unhygienic food. When one says ‘Health is Wealth’ and to sustain and maintain health, human beings needs to consume healthy and hygienic food. A reform in form of Yogic Organic farming is what should be introduced in agricultural practices. This article lays down the benefits and valuable significance of Yogic Organic farming.

Abstract: Face recognition system has gained its importance as the digital imaging has received its growth. Since most of the handheld devices like mobile phone, tablet, laptop etc. have preinstalled digital cameras, it has become the easiest way of authentication. Due to the extensive usage of biometric as a measure of authentication, the proper feature transformation with improved security is to be established. For any biometric system to be robust, the genuineness of the input and the proper storage of the same . Liveliness detection using temperature gradient of the input samples with DNA codec based transformation is proposed in this paper. This methodology proven to be computationally worth when compared with the state of art techniques

Abstract: Flat plate solar collector is the major component of a solar heating system that converts solar radiation to thermal energy. It provides clean energy at no operating cost, however, its poor performance constitutes a serious drawback to adopt it for small application. This inefficiency is the result of involved thermal losses and the lack of full exploitation of the available energy. To exploit the maximum potential, the working fluid flow should be uniformly distributed through the collector to extract the heat from the hot absorbing surface. This study addresses the uniformity of the flow distribution for v-groove flat plate solar collector for water heating to optimize the performance of the collector. The study investigated the effect of the manifold geometry and the number of the side riser channels on the flow distribution by using numerical computational fluid dynamics simulation on Ansys Fluent Software. The mass flow rate was optimized for maximum thermal performance and then the optimum point was used for investigating the flow distribution. The simulation was validated against experimental data from literature with 99% confidence. The study found that the circular manifold gives uniform flow distribution with a standard deviation of 5% at the optimum mass flow rate of 11.5g/s. the study concluded that the tapered circular manifold is the optimum geometry for uniform flow distribution as it provides the least pressure difference inside the manifold.

Abstract: India has the second largest road network in the world, since the highway is wide open space there will not be any obstruction for the wind flow. When the vehicle is moving at a faster rate on a highway, the velocity of the wind on top of the vehicle will be high, which can be used to produce electricity. In this work, the possibility of harnessing wind energy on the top of a moving vehicle is proposed. According to the statistics, in India approximately 0.2 million buses & even more number of trucks will be plying on any given day. These vehicles can be used for generation of electricity by using a Wind Energy Conversion System .The vehicle is fitted with a chamber for airflow, chamber is further divided into channels. Each channel has a Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT) coupled to a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG), generating electricity and charging the battery bank. This stored energy can be used to run local loads such as the Air conditioner, instantaneously improving the fuel economy of the vehicle in turn reducing the carbon emission. For a non air conditioned vehicle, upon reaching the destination energy stored in the battery bank can be converted to AC and fed to the grid or can be used to run an e-scooter as plug & play battery thus promoting the use of e-vehicles.

Abstract: Bamboo has been identified as a structural element capable of satisfactorily absorbing tension and compression stresses, and, to a lesser proportion, parallel shear along its fibers, as well as bending with possibility of usage in buildings and as viable ecological alternative. The ultrastructure of the bamboo, from the Guadua Velutina species, obtained from the Vega Rica ejido in El Higo, Veracruz, Mexico, was characterized It was characterized the ultra structure of the bamboo, of the species Guadua velutina, obtained of the Ejido Vega Rica of the municipality El Higo, Veracruz, Mexico for use in the industry of the construction. Previously, pieces were tested to determine their mechanical properties: compression and shear parallel to the fiber, following the standards indicated in the methodology. Subsequently, the microscopic analysis of longitudinal and transverse sections of this anisotropic material, with variable porosity in its walls, was carried out. It was found that the arrangement and shape of its fibers that give rise to its porosity is correlated with its resistance to the different stresses to which it is subjected and that its porosity also decreases in joints zones, where its fibers have no defined direction. These findings are important because they make it possible to recognize the durability of the material in such a way that they can be considered in the construction of structural elements.

Abstract: In this paper, the profit of a two unit cold standby system have been analysed. We have taken a two unit cold standby system having an expert repairman and his assistance. When a unit failed then standby unit becomes operating unit and his assistance repairman can repair the failed unit after getting the instruction from the expert. When the expert is busy in repairing the failed unit and also at that time standby unit failed then he leave the repair in the suspension and give instruction to his assistance. The profit rate is calculated where the failure follow exponential distributions. Graphs are plotted with the help of data given in terms of reliability parameters such as availability, MTSF, busyperiod, expected no. of repairman visits using regenerative point of graphical technique.

Abstract: With the growth in urbanization and consumption of resources the problem of trash and waste production has also gone up. This is becoming a cause of concern and especially in developing countries where there are no or very less efficient waste management systems in place. Due to the problem of littering and inefficient garbage disposal systems overflow of garbage is common which leads to air and land pollution. The systems currently in-place in developing countries are not efficient and garbage collection trucks have no way to get the real-time information of garbage cans and because of the wide span of a city many garbage cans remain empty and others don’t get collected thus it leads to overflow. The goal of this project is to solve the problem of overflowing of garbage, littering, and inefficient garbage disposal systems with the help of device created using the Internet of Things (IoT) to provide efficient routes and trash separation, thus reducing the cost and increasing time efficiency. The device will also help in separating the metallic and non-metallic waste into separate bins, further considering the most filled garbage bins and providing an efficient route with their locations.
