Abstract: In the article the questions of political persecutions and ideological pressure on the creative intellectuals of Uzbekistan, impact of policy of repressions of the Soviet power on cultural life of society are considered. Problems of conceptual and ideological interdependence of the repressive nature of the Soviet power and antinational orientation of the Soviet “cultural policy”, the destroying impact of repressive policy on the spiritual life of people are analyzed and also the tragic fate of the representatives of the national creative intellectuals, scientists, literary figures, artists who suffered from persecutions and repressions is considered.
