Abstract: The current paper displaysthe failure of traditional methods used in the English language classrooms which are purely teacher-centred and do not allow the students to be competent in English. It is because, in the teacher-centred classrooms, the students remain as mute spectators. They cannot be communicative in the classroom. Indeed, this condition has to be reconstructed and lifted through various teaching strategies. Learner-centred classroom has to be adopted for the efficient and effective communication of the students.
