Abstract: The performance of sensor nodes can be optimized using the cluster techniques. Clustering can reduce travel time by decreasingthenumberoftransmissionsandreceptionsateachsensornode.Clusteringofsensorsinunlikegroupsmakethesensorsofoneclustertransmittheinformationtoanotherclusterandthatclusterwillsendouttheoriginalinformationtotheprocessingcenter,thisflowofinformationcansavealotofenergyinthesystem.Sensornodes’clusteringrepresentsaneffectualandproficientwayofmeetingallthenetworkneeds,forexamplenetworklifetime,energysavingetc.Ithasbeenobservedthatourtechniquecanbeincorporatebothwithstaticaswellasdynamicclusteringtechnique.Indeployingstaticclusteringcomplexitycanbereducedbutthereisissueofenergyconsumptionwhereaswithdynamicclustering,theproblemcanbeeliminatedbutcomplexity(Clusteringoverheads)mayincreaseinthenetwork.Thus,specialattentionneedstoreaddressthesefacts.Inthispaper,someflawshasbeenobservedsuchasproperhandlingofclusteringtechniquebothinstaticanddynamicclustering.Inboththetechniquesanimprovedhybridclusteringtechniquehasbeenproposedwhichisacombinationofstaticanddynamicclusteringtoformhybridprocessthatwillsavetheenergyaswellasnetworklifetime.
