Abstract: Technical vocational teacher education is a program for training individualswhoshallbeproductivecitizensthatwillcontributetothesustainabledevelopmentofanation.Thiscouldbestbeachievedwheretechnicalvocationalteachereducationprogramfocusesmuchattentiononskillacquisitionthatalignswithchangesinoccupationaltrendsintoday’sworldofwork.ItisonthisbasesthatthispaperfocusedonrefocusingtechnicalvocationalteachereducationtowardsgreenskillacquisitionforsustainabledevelopmentinNigeria.Thepaperhighlightedtheconceptoftechnicalvocationalteachereducationaswellasgreenskills.ThepaperalsoviewedtherelevanceofgreenskillinTechnicalvocationalteachereducation.Challengesfacingtechnicalvocationalteachereducationinachievingsustainabledevelopmentthroughgreenskillacquisitionwerealsodiscussed.Finallyrestructuringoftechnicalvocationalteachereducationtoemphasizemuchonpracticalskillacquisition,recruitingqualityandqualifiedteachingpersonnel,constantsponsorshipofteachingpersonneltoattendseminarsandworkshopstobekeptabreastwithnewtechnologiesand21stcenturylearningskillsandadequatefundingoftechnicalvocationalteachereducationprogramwereamongthesuggestionsmadeasawayforwardinrefocussingtechnicalvocationalteachereducationtowardsgreenskillacquisitionforthesustainabledevelopmentofNigeria
