Abstract: The present study was exploratory and diagnostic in nature to examine the level of psychological dependence on social media networking sites usage of college youth in Chennai city of Tamil Nadu. This research was adopted survey method and structured questionnaire was collected from200 college students residing in Chennai city to gather the information and perception on psychological dependence on social media networking sites addiction. The data collected were subjected to data analysis using PSPP software and statistical tools such as, percentage analysis, descriptive analysis and exploratory factor analysis to understand the level of social media addiction of college students. psychological dependence on social media networking sites variables have been reduced to Five independent factors and the most dominant factor is Communication Factor (CF) followed by, Curiosity Factor (CUF), Attention Factor (AF), Time Factor (TM) and Upgradation Factor (UF) in their order of dominance.College youth are opined thatthey are more excited and curious to use a greater number of social media networking sites due to growth of internet and mobile penetration.To conclude, college youth can use social media networking sites with some limit timer through self-control and they should spend their quality time in the real world rather than the virtual world.

Abstract: This empirical research was aimed to explore the prevalence and psychological interventions of college youth towards internet and smart phone addiction in Chennai city of Tamil Nadu. This study was adopted exploratory research design to explore the perception of college youth towards their addiction of internet and smart phone in their day-to-day lives. This study was adopted survey method and structured questionnaire of 173 were collected from college students. The result indicates that college youth have higher addiction towards internet and cognitive confinement factor, laxness factor and usage supremacy factor are the major factors of internet usage among college students. The college youth are suggested to reduce the usage of internet and smartphone by giving focus to other physical activities. The college youth are suggested to have self-control and determination to use smart phone whenever there is actual need for appropriate usage.

Abstract: This research study was aimed to explore the customer perception towards online banking adoption in Chennai city. This research study was adopted empirical and exploratory research design and structured questionnaire was used to gather the primary information from the public sector bank customers. The data collected were analysed with the help of PSPP software and statistical tools such as, percentage analysis, descriptive statistics, and multiple regression analysis has been applied to draw meaningful solutions to the research problem. The empirical evidences reveal that youngsters have higher online banking service quality perception as compared to elderly peoples. Those who are earning more income and having good occupation have higher online banking service quality perception as compared to other income and occupation groups. Public sector bank customers those who are using online banking practices before demonetization have higher service quality perception in online banking as compared to users started using aftermath of demonetisation.

Abstract: Microencapsulated phase change material (PCM) is used for industrial and house hold air conditioning system for longer term usage. In this study 1-Tetradecanol (C14H30O) is used as a core material. Urea (CH4N2O)-Formaldehyde (CH2O) is used as shell material. Micro capsulation is made using in-situ polymerization technique. Prepared microcapsules were tested for feasibility to use cooling system. The average size was verified using Scanning Electron microscope (SEM) and result was found 3µm and shape was observed as spherical and surface morphology was smooth. The presence of chemicals of core and shell materials was verified by Fourier Transform Infra-Red spectroscopy (FT-IR). The peak temperature of microcapsules was found as 150°C from Thermo Gravimetric Analyzer (TGA). Thermal cyclic stability was verified by Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC). The cyclic temperature was observed as 45.9°C and 39.78°C. These prepared microcapsules can used to control the temperature of 37°C. This prepared microcapsule can be used for room air conditioning system.

Abstract: In this research, exploration of Abrasive Water Jet Machining (AWJM) on polyester based Curaua/basalt hybrid composite was carried out. The composites were fabricated through resin transfer molding (RTM) at a ratio of 60-40 weight percentage of matrix and fiber respectively. Experimental runs were carried out based on L27 orthogonal array considering three parameters and three levels. Further, the effect of input parameter viz., water pressure, standoff distance and feed rate on the output responses viz., kerf angle (Ta) and surface roughness (Ra) were studied. From the investigation, it is observed that stand off distance contributes a maximum in determining the results of surface roughness and kerf angle.

Abstract: Fourier Transfer infrared and Raman spectra in the range of 4000-400 cm-1 and 3500-50 cm-1 were recorded to study the vibrational spectra of 5-chloro-2-hydroxyacetophenone (CHAP). Using density functional theory (DFT/B3LYP) with 6-31+G(d,p) and 6-311++G(d,p) basis sets the various geometrical parameters such as Raman activities, infrared intensities and optimum frequencies were calculated. The HOMO-LUMO energy gap has been computed which confirms the charge transfer of the molecular system. Mulliken’s atomic charges associated with each atom and thermodynamic parameters have also been reported with the same level of DFT.

Abstract: Fiction emerges from a writer’s experience and imagination. It embraces the present, the past and the future and proffers values to hold on to as well as dreams to reach for. At its best it makes us look at life from a new perspective. A work of fiction is an imaginative narrative writing in prose. Believable characters, convincing dialogue and an interesting plot are among the essential ingredients of fiction. Because fiction writers share their thoughts with us through words, the writer’s style- the words that the writer chooses and how he puts them together – are critical to our understanding of the craft of a given work and of its effect on us. Like any other work of art, fiction offers us a vicarious experience. The ways in which we derive enjoyment from reading fiction are countless. Paulo Coelho is one of the most influential, widely read, and loved authors in the world. He is the recipient of numerous prestigious international awards, among them are the Crystal Award by the World Economic Forum and France’s Legion d’ Honneur. He was inducted into the Brazilian Academy of letters in 2002. But instead than offering readers enticing stories of savagery, excitements or sex, Coelho composes of normal individuals who place themselves in unprecedented circumstances to develop their internal identities, utilizing simple, unadorned exposition.

Abstract: Chetan Bhagat, being a prominent contemporary Indian novelist, explores the various facts related to youth power in India. Bhagat writes about every aspect of society in his novels. His novels are not merely a photographic picture of society, but a reflection of a particular moment. In this novel Revolution 2020, Bhagat effort has been taken to expose the faulty educational system. It is one of the dominent themes in his novel. With the help of this theme Bhagat tried to show that, students are not in a position to cope with the syllabus. Students are treated as machines. With the help of this novel Bhagat shows students are not rated on the basis of their innovative ideas. They don’t like the teaching method. The students are rated on the basis of how much they perform in their exams. The education system of IIT, Delhi depicted in this novel is criticised. Bhagat finds that IIT education is not sufficient for the overall development of personality. It adheres to the same patriarchal norms and codes of education where students are so much overloaded with assignments, class tests and major exams. In this situation, they forget the real meaning of life. The education is for life and not only for securing a job. Every student tries to learn their subjects by heart but the system is not working very well. The students have to mug up their subject. Today’s new generation always comments regarding their study and they always blame the educational system.

Abstract: The novel depicts how Sunaina grows up in a North Indian middle-class family under the tender care of her mother. The daughter belatedly recognizes her mother’s role in creating a fertile space of freedom in which she could cultivate herself despite the stifling patriarchal environment into which she was born. Sunaina also reevaluates her mother’s silence as a subtle effort to protect her against the stringencies of the society. Thus, the text exposes the rigid system that frames women within domestic confines but in doing so, advocates for borderline sites where women manifest themselves. Outlining the tradition and custom Mai stands for how the stereotype of womenhood is gradually changed through these three generation women.
