Abstract: Power quality issues are of great concern in transmission and distribution system now a day due to the sensitive nature of the loads. The sensitive nature of the load increases with the advent of power electronic technology. It has become important, particularly, with the introduction of sophisticated devices, whose performance is very sensitive to the quality of power supply that results in a failure of end use equipment. In distribution systems voltage sag are more prominent. Power quality problems cannot be eliminated by using conventional filters. Therefore power electronic based Active Power Filters (APF) are most commonly used now a days. Voltage sag problems are the most frequently occurring and detrimental power quality problems. At present, a wide range of very flexible controllers, are emerging for custom power application to correcting the voltage sag in a distributed system. Among these controllers STATCOM are most effective devices, along with controlling methodology Mamdani Fuzzy Controller (MFC), ANN and ANFIS controllers. A STATCOM inject the voltage in series with the system voltage and a STATCOM injects a current into the system to correct the voltage sag. In their existing system they should be performance of STATCOM using PI controller showed to be better performance for solving voltage sag problem. But we are going to propose the ANN and ANFIS on STATCOM in order to increase the efficiency and their better performance to rectify the power quality problems.

Abstract: The fundamental requirement of managing Knowledge Management (KM) successfully is to recognise the knowledge assets and manage it in the circumstance of overall organizational performance. The effective KM process influenced by knowledge-enablers and hindering factors. Hence, this study focuses to analyze the enablers and hinders that impact on KM practices and implementation in tourism sector in Sri Lanka. A total of 25 enablers and 20 hindering factors that could impact on KM implementation and practices have been identified based on a review of the related literature, and discussions with experts in the tourism filed. Random sampling method was employed and questionnaire survey carried out. 243 usable responses were received and results of statistical analysis of the responses revealed that the organisational infrastructure, management leadership and support, organisational culture, motivational aids, team building and knowledge variety, and use of internet and information technology have been identified as the most important enabler rank respectively for KM in tourism sector in Sri Lanka. Meantime, employee turnover, knowledge loses, failure to identify the variables of improving KM, use of inappropriate KM strategies, over focus on IT and pressure for conformity were the most important hindering factors rank respectively for KM in tourism sector in Sri Lanka.

Abstract: This research aims to study the marketing mix of sea salt spa enterprise in order to develop guideline to improve marketing mix for sea salt spa small enterprise. The samples had been selected using homogeneous sampling method. The questions related with 5Ps marketing mix in spa industry; product, price, place, promotion, and personnel. The result of this research showed that all 5Ps marketing mix affected the operation of sea salt spa. Product was the most important factor that affects customers’ preferences since it directly contacts with customers. The second important factor was personnel. An owner should provide a social welfare as well as develop a good relationship among owner and worker. As a result, workers will, in turn, offer a high-class service to customers. Price setting must be carefully calculated with consideration of fixed and variable costs plus a required profit. However, it should not be higher than common price of similar product sells by competitors. Finally, promotion campaigns could be set regarding to point of sale. For instance, customer can get a free hand treatment before buying a product.

Abstract: The study aims to analyze the level of service quality of Post office Saving Bank from perspectives of customers and employees both. In particular, the objective of the paper is to study major gap i.e. service quality gap and other gaps contributing to major gap i.e. understanding gap, internal evaluation gap and service delivery gap. Present research seeks to gain an empirical insight into customers’ perceptions of service quality in Indian Postal Services. The target population of the survey was all the saving scheme users of Post Office saving Bank in Punjab state and all the employees working in POSB. For the purpose, the paper applies ‘Simple random sampling technique’ taking sample size of 200 customers and 100 employees. Data has been collected from various branches of ‘India post’ across State of Punjab. The relevant literature and instruments developed by past studies provided the base for developing research instrument. The study uses modified SERVQUAL with total of 35 items. For measuring mean differences, independent sample T-Test was used. The findings of the study revealed that service quality level of POSB was far below the expectations of customers. The service quality gap indicates that there were problems in understanding expectations of customers, making service standards and delivering service which collectively became the reason of this gap. The study will be extremely useful for the service providers and management as it pinpoints the areas of service shortfalls which need improvement. This paper develops a new model which consists of various service quality gaps causing major service quality gap. Considering the limitations of study, the paper also provides some directions for future scope of research in the same area as well as in other areas.

Abstract: Cloud computing is an Internet-based computing technology that can be used to share resources like software, infrastructures, storage and information are delivered to consumers on their request. It also called a computing platform to share resources that comprise platform, software, applications, and business processes. So as to configuration, manufacture, and give cloud based arrangements that best address clients’ issues, it is fundamental to comprehend the abilities, objectives, essential assignments, and responsibilities of the individuals or associations required all through the cloud service lifecycle. Abstract: The task of analyzing the effectiveness of the functioning of electronic document management systems (EDMS) is formulated and the methodological basis for optimization is developed according to the criteria of reliability, complexity and cost of information processing. A technique for estimating the time of input, transmission, storage, processing, exchange of documents and increasing the reliability of information based on implemented and traditional approaches aimed at using statistical, logical, semantic and structural – technological relationships of document elements is proposed. Models and algorithms for optimizing the placement of electronic documents (ED) in databases and other information systems associated with the system have been developed. Methods are proposed to minimize the time of searching, processing, increasing the reliability of information and presenting the required document to the user. A computational scheme for solving the optimization problem based on the use of adaptive methods of stochastic random search, modeling by a truncated Markov chain and dynamic programming has been developed and implemented. The conditions for optimizing the values of the labor-intensiveness coefficients and the cost of information processing algorithms based on the application of linear constraints on their efficiency areas are studied. The experimental results of the gain coefficient in the reliability of the information obtained by the maximum rating score are obtained. The software package has been implemented and the values of the coefficient of efficiency of algorithms for increasing the reliability of information based on the use of adaptive random search, segmentation, semantic redundancy and lexicological synthesis of the structure of electronic documents have been analyzed.

Abstract: This scientific article is called “ Feature stories from the history of the Nurata oasis” and it uses the results of ethnographic field studies from 1999 to 2013, archival documents and scientific literature on this topic, as well as historical and ethnographic comparative information on the basis of dissertations and manuals. The article provides interesting information on the indigenous tribes of the Nurata oasis – Oguz-Turkmen, their assimilation over many centuries and their transformation into Uzbek-Turkmen, as well as on other ethnic groups.
