Abstract: Dual terminal inverters are employed to control two three-phase AC loads. Earlier separate inverters are applied for this operation which increases the size, cost of the overall system. This paper suggests a dual terminal inverter with fewer switches called novel Six-Switch Dual Terminal Inverter (SSDTI) to surmount this impediment. In this investigation, Diode-assisted SSDTI topology is explored. The simulation model of the SSDTI was accomplished using MATLAB/SIMULINK. This study examines the performance for variation in modulation indices. The Experimental verification of the proposed Diode-assisted SSDTI is carried out and behavior of the suggested step-up inverter is tested and validated.

Abstract: In micro grid system, the distributed renewable energy source (DRES) establishes the continuity of supply by using DC-AC inverter topology. Due to various disadvantages classical DC-AC inverter topology is unsuitable for grid connected DRES, in stage various multilevel inverter designs came into presence. The cascade H-bridge based multilevel inverter plays a significant role in many applications and applicable to medium-voltage by utilizing certain standard limitations. This peculiar design achieves high quality output voltage and current waveform as staircase waveform. The objective of this paper is to obtain higher output voltage level with less number of switches, less cost and lower THD values. It is carried out by asymmetric multi-cell CMLI topology. Hence this paper is introducing a proposed 85 level asymmetric multi-cell cascade multilevel inverter. It improves the fundamental component and also reduces the THD value by using less number of switches while comparing to other topologies of CMLI. In order to verify the proposed topology is integrated to micro-grid by using MATLAB/SIMULINK software and the results are conferred.

Abstract: At present, the extensive recognition on active compensators is pre-requisite for enhancing the PQ features in a three-phase 3-wire power distribution system. It is an exigent user related issue which is commenced by evading the mal-function of massive non-linear power-electronic controlled loads. This impacts on serious power pollution at position of common coupling and disrupts the voltage/current quality in a distribution system. A multi-objective DSTATCOM is the key choice for enhancing PQ features in a distribution system by utilizing attractive control strategies. The classical control strategies are more adversed with extreme switching losses due to the presence of high-order harmonic frequencies in a reference current sequence. This paper explores the novel fundamental frequency based current reference generation scheme for feasible functioning of DSTATCOM with greater efficiency and minimized switching losses. The critical performance of DSTATCOM with novel FFR-CG controller is validated by using Matlab/Simulink platform and simulation results are conferred.

Abstract: This paper presents power quality enhancement in electrical power distribution system using multi-level unified power quality conditioner (UPQC). Cascaded H-Bridge structured voltage source converter (VSC) for both series and shunt controllers of UPQC is implemented for power quality enhancement. Hybrid PI-fuzzy based control algorithm is implemented to generate reference signal for shunt controller of UPQC while synchronous reference theory like control algorithm is used to generate reference signal for series controller of UPQC. Level-shifted multi-carrier pattern employing reference signal from control algorithms triggers power switches in VSC of multi-level UPQC. Intelligent fuzzy controller is used to regulate DC-link voltage and the analysis is compared with conventional PI controller to control DC-link voltage. UPQC is analyzed to compensate for simultaneous sag and harmonics and compensation for simultaneous swell and harmonics in power distribution system. System proposed is build and result analysis is presented using MATLAB/SIMULINK software.

Abstract: Variable design control has shown that it is easy to use existing electronics for the variable speed wind energy converter control. Its main disadvantage is the increase in mechanical stress due to the squawking, which can, nevertheless, be reduced using different techniques. The paper presents Sliding Mode Control (SMC) Design for Variable Speed Wind Farm Systems (VS-WFS), which is based on and linked to an electrical network using the Permanent Magnet Sync Generator (PMSG).This paper recommendations various aspects of PMSG including topology with controlled and uncontrolled rectifier, grid connected and standalone mode of operation using different control methods PMSG-based W. The overall performance assessment of PMSG can be augmented through the use of advanced optimization techniques by a number of control mechanisms. A qualitative analysis based on the techniques is carried out and the relevant benefits and disadvantages are discussed.

Abstract: Induction Generators with phase number n where n > 3 preponderates three-phase generators in high power generation with the number of advantages like fault tolerance, reduced torque ripple, increased power with the reduced current per phase maintaining same voltage per phase. This paper develops a docile model of Wind Driven Self–Excited Multiphase Induction Generator (WDSEMPIG) for different phase numbers. The simulation model developed using Matlab/Simulink investigates the functionality of the n-phase machine under diverse running conditions. This paper compares WDSEMPIG performance for various phase numbers in terms of voltage, current, and power to confirm the suitability of multiphase machines for high power applications. The simulation results explore the effect of variation of capacitance; load and wind speed on the machine performance and realizes the fault tolerant feature of WDSEMPIG with one phase open.

Abstract: This article introduces a new method of self-cancellation (modified technique of self-cancellation) using a zero gab self- cancellation methodology. In the technique suggested, zero sub-carriers are often used to mitigate the interference of the two neighboring sub-carriers main lobes in addition to zero subcontractors and the method being proposed also used to limit the impact of other sub-carriers side lobes. The modified self-cancelling technology provides the best performance in respect of the CIR and the Bit-Error (BER) ratio only compared with the conventional technique. The adder module interference estimator also often needs data path units in this paper. Mostly as a result, a detailed explanation is still based on increasing the delay in capacity of the adder. The Ripple adductor and the output of the skip adder of each step depends on the previous carrier, but once it is returned to hold tree adders, it produces the transmission signals in O(log n) time and is regarded to have been the simplest and best VLSI output. The Kogge-Stone, Sparse Kogge-Stone and spanning tree adder are compared to the Ripple Carry Adder (RCA).
