Abstract: The concept of authorship identification and stylometry analysis have fascinating issues to be dealt with. Articles framed by various authors can be classified by measuring attributes linked to literary style along with attribute authorship related to texts that are newly explored. This forms a necessary function in different fields like psycholinguistics, cybercrime investigation, political socialization, etc… Numerous classical variations of statistical methods are presented and imbibed by the literary style. In the approach of Text processing outstanding information is fetched from the Tamil dataset combining quantifiable parameters from it. In the case of unidentified authors, it becomes tedious to classify the poems. The existing paper suggest that poem or text that is unidentified can be retrieved by categorizing potential author’s earlier work and organizing the unfamiliar text or poem in Tamil language by constructing a classifier. In the proposed approach various stages include: feature extraction and selection utilizing decision tree. Whole process is split up into two – training and testing. All the known poets are organized within training dataset – contains 5 authors each 80 poems whereas the unknown poets are categorized under testing dataset. Through imbibing this methodology different poetic authors can be identified within the Tamil vernacular, resulting in valuable contribution to the society. The work considers a persons or authors distinctive style of writing, computes the features relativity. The method proposed is highly effective as demonstrated in the outcome of experiments performed on the actual dataset. The proposed techniques of decision tree effectively yields higher functionality in comparison with other existing approaches.

Abstract: Warmth acquired through the top of the structure is the real reason for unconditioned structure or the real burden for the cooled structure. Vermiculite being a phyllosilicate group of hydrated magnesium-aluminium-iron silicate is an inert material which resists the heat penetration. This project mainly aims at the development and evaluation of vermiculite mortar which exhibits low water assimilation, better quality properties, low heat penetration and better thermal insulation, when compared with traditional method of plastering. The utilization of this material reductions the basic weight. Different blends were readied utilizing distinctive level of vermiculite and water-concrete proportion. The cement mortar cubes of dimensions 70.6 mm were casted with replacement of fine aggregate with vermiculite in the ratio of 1:3. The fine aggregate was replaced with vermiculite in the fashion of 0.5 parts, 1 parts, 1.5 parts, 2 parts and 2.5 parts. Vermiculite mortar is light in weight when compared to cement mortar in the range of 5 to 48%. The replacement of 33.33% fine aggregate with vermiculite shows higher compressive strength.

Abstract: The deployment of DC sources like photovoltaic (PV) systems and fuel cell (FC) stacks have increased substantially as there prevails a paradigm shift in electrical power delivery to the loads. The power generated by the array is either transmitted at long distances or connected to a micro-grid. Such a system is prone to short circuit faults, resulting in power outages and circuitry damages. In this paper, a power electronic circuit, buck boost converter, facilitates identification of DC line faults and locating it appropriately. Numerous techniques have been proposed for fault identification in AC grid lines. But in DC lines, very few have administered the fault identification in DC grid, which is again complex and costly. This work applies a simple and effective resistance calculation methodology which is executed by a Arduino based control circuitry. The suggested scheme works appropriately for faults like Line- Line (L-L) fault i.e. short-circuited cables, Line-Earth (L-E) fault i.e. broken cable. The MATLAB/Simulink results and the real time hard ware results reveal that the suggested technique is highly viable.

Abstract: In existing protection system such as PIN(Personal Identification Number), Finger Print, Palm Print, Face Recognition, Iris recognition systems for ATM(Automated Teller Machine) users have more complicated and also these systems data’s will be hacked from other users easily. So in order to over come such problems, we go for finger vein recognition system. Here finger vein means we can take a finer vein image from inner structure of finger using NIR (Near Infrared) camera, but in this paper, we can take a set of sample finger vein images and stored in the data base from different users and compared with current user image using Euclidean distance algorithm. If the database and user images are equal then we can execute the transaction from ATM suppose if these two images are mismatched then we can not able to execute the transaction from ATM and also we can transfer the information to the police as well as corresponding customer such as “Unauthorized person using your account” through mobile phone using GSM (Global System for Mobile) and NODE MCU to the process the data’s using IoT (Internet of things).

Abstract: Cloud data centers provide virtual resources as per user’s demand. Virtual Machine Consolidation is the process of migrating virtual machines from heavily loaded and lightly loaded hosts to moderately loaded hosts to increase energy efficiency. But this can impact the SLA between the cloud service provider and customer because migration incurs additional energy consumption. Energy consumption and SLA violation are major concerns of a cloud service provider. To solve this problem, a combined metric which is the product of energy consumption and Performance degradation due to Migration (PDM) is used as heuristic information for Ant Colony Optimization. The virtual machine to be migrated is chosen based on Virtual Machine (VM) Selection policies which consider minimal migration time or minimal product of computing and memory resources. The performance evaluation shows the efficiency of the algorithm.

Abstract: Cognitive radio technology is a developing technology for upcoming radio communication systems such as Machine to Machine, IoT and Energy conservation system. In this survey paper we have summarized the studies of sensing techniques which maximizes the probability of detection of the presence of primary user (licensed) and minimizes the probability of false alarm. Therefore, the performance of spectrum sensing is measured by the probability of detection and the probability of false alarm. To save energy, higher probability of detection is performed to avoid collision to licensed users. We extend a study of optimization strategies which enhances energy conservation per bit, with objective of reducing the total error in cognitive radio sensor network. Then we provide explored survey that comprises of Multi-objective optimization algorithms for sensing duration to enhance the throughput of the network. Furthermore, we have consolidated a variety of joint optimization using algorithm which are recommended for the observer to understand from the collected references. Finally, we have discussed the challenges for the CRN to be handled in future work.

Abstract: Fuel consumption on-board ships is a major concern for generating electricity for Heating, Ventilation and Air conditioning systems (HVAC), Operating machineries and equipment, lighting and other electrical utilities. The conventional fuel supply also slowly reducing and become completely vanish in the years to come. The alternate and most appropriate system for the cooling operation and efficient method of operating electrical utilities in ships is essential so as to reduce the electricity consumption as well solution to economic crisis and eradicating emission problems. Fuel consumption can be reduced by optimising the use and exploitation of machinery and equipment systems. To minimise fuel consumption, fuel cost and emission from machineries, significant viable energy efficiency measures should be considered. Major focus on this study is to provide effective ways for reducing on-board power demand which are Thermal Energy Storage for air conditioning applications, Automated Power Management Systems and conversion of existing conventional system with the replacement of energy efficient systems or components. In this study also addressed the preliminary indicators for identifying niche areas for reducing energy consumption and mitigating CO2 emission in on-boardships.

Abstract: This study has examined the effect of various fluorescent dyes, to check its feasibility for it’s use in a highly sensitive fluorometer. QUBIT 4.0 is a fluorometer that is used to measure the quantity of RNA, DNA or Protein. The QUBIT 4.0 was developed to measure the RNA integrity and quality using its high sensitivity assays. It was also used to measure dilute sample concentrations ranging from 1-20 micro litres; which is why dye selection is crucial. The evolution of dye selection has been discussed in detail, ranging from Ethidium Bromide (commonly used as a fluorescent tag for gel electrophoresis), to the dye chosen here for DNA quantification in QUBIT 4.0, called Pico Green (ultra sensitive dye which is used for ds – DNA quantification in QUBIT 4.0). An alternative dye is also discussed called C-phycocyanine, which ideally has no literature data cited for being used in QUBIT 4.0; but proof of concept points it out to be feasible as it conforms to most of the properties required for the same. Based on this study, one can understand the main features of QUBIT 4.0, the various dyes used in fluorometers and their key properties and also know what criteria to choose while selecting a dye for a particular assay, about Pico Green, the main emphasis laid here, and its alternative; C-phycocyanine.

Abstract: This article entrusts a hybrid asymmetric voltage cancellation (AVC) and pulse density modulation (PDM) switching scheme for full bridge resonant converter which can be applied for induction heating (IH) application. The single stage converter topology suggested in this paper is efficient compared to the conventional dual stage. The pulse generation for the converter is strategically performed by hybridizing AVC and PDM techniques. The inherent dead band in AVC technique facilities soft switching, in turn, reduces the switching losses, whereas PDM enhances the power control ranges without a change in switching frequency. IH application requires a wide range of power control with minimal losses. This research put forth an effort to hybridize AVC and PDM to enhance the control and conversion without a change in frequency. The work has been duly simulated in a simulation environment (MATLAB/Simulink) and also a hardware prototype has been realized. The results prove that the work is advantageous in many aspects.

Abstract: Since many years, physical ailments have always been given more importance with respect to assistive technologies and for good reason. But this has led us to ignore mental health which is equally important. The stigma associated with mental health issues and the lack of awareness, results in worsening of the condition. Dementia is seen as a progressive condition, currently being detected in an increasing number of people. Thus, the relatively modern approach of overseeing and monitoring the activities of the dementia people creates a revolution in the assistive technology realm as it provides the patients the option to be self-dependent at their own habitat. The project proposes a new solution in the form of a smart wearable device, which is small, cheap to cater the need for in-home care of elderly patients. This device allows older people to live independently, in spite of the risk of forgetfulness or delusions. Using IoT, the project integrates the device with online cloud computing using Thing Speak which stores and processes the data from the RFID and GPS sensors. Complex Process Analysis is performed on the data collected to predict possible ailments or future actions of the patient. This helps doctors deliver timely treatment and families to check in on their loved ones. Using IFTTT, the project aims to notify the patients to follow their daily routines and reported to their physician. Thus, by analyzing real time visualized data and monitoring 24/7, the smart device ensures good quality independent living of elderly dementia patients.
