Abstract: Hazard Identification and Risk Analysis were carried out in different dry and wet processing areas of a garment finishing factory. Risk rating has been calculated from the point of view of the severity, probability and frequency of occurrence. Risk rating was been divided into three categories. Low, medium and high risk rating were assigned depending upon the severity of occurrence and categorized as 1 to 7, 8 to 14 and 15 to 20, respectively. It has been found from this study that there is medium risk associated in running a garment finishing unit. Different control measures were identified and suggested to ensure safety of the workforce in the factory.

Abstract: The fluctuations and volatility on the share price discourage investments and raises concerns on the indicators or factors that can effectively boost the share price in long run. Most of the investors loss their wealth but also erode confidence in the stock market. This study sought to investigate the indicator that boost share price the most in long run among the manufacturing that listed in Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE). In accomplishing this overall objective, the study sought to determine which indicator among earning per share (EPS), dividend per share (DPS), return on equity (ROE), interest and inflation has the most effective impact on the listed manufacturing companies. The study employed secondary data that extracted from the annual report from individual companies and Bank Negara Malaysia for the ten-year period covering which covering from 2007 to 2016. The study was undertaken using quantitative research design. There are 30 listed manufacturing companies listed in KLSE constituted as the target population. Descriptive statistics and panel regression analysis techniques were employed to analyse the panel data. All collected data were tested by Normality and Multi collinearity tests before carried out the analysis. The study concluded that EPS is the most effective indicator toward the share price movement as compared to the other four indicators. The study recommends that investors should take this indicator as a guidance in their stock investment decision making.

Abstract: Ethical climate refers to the moral environment prevailing in the work atmosphere and the importance given towards ethical practices within an organization. A positive ethical climate can bring out positive outcomes such as productivity and happiness. As a result, the work place deviance is well controlled and which in turn will result in the ultimate achievement of the organizational goals. In India, Health Sector is one of the growing sectors; Hospitals are one of the units which highly contribute for their growth. Hospital services are totally depending on Human beings and their values. They provide at most effective and efficient service to satisfy people and their emotional values. The study concentrates on the behavior aspects which are connected to the desirable outcomes such as trust and loyalty which is linked with productivity and happiness among employees in hospitals. These two aspects are considered as vital in hospitals in health sector. Therefore, researchers have made an attempt to study the ethical climate as one of the antecedents for work place deviance in hospitals in Health sector. The findings have proved four factors of the climate needs to be addressed according to the industries’ need. Thus, the study has confirmed the effects of ethical climate in nullifying the work deviance.

Abstract: Hemingway is an American author whose works portray largely on the theme of death. This article emphasis on the concept of death and the absence of moral values. Very few characters such as Brett, Robert Cohn and Priests are taken for the study. Hemingway proposes good values through the depiction of immoral values. It is represented by various characters in the novel. The ethics of existence is seemed to be at stake. The depiction is quite ironical. Lady Brett is the prime character of the novel. The whole novel revolves around her. She is portrayed as very weak in her instinct beyond the definition of religious ethos and reasoning. The author is very particular about passing the message of morality to the reader in an ironical way. There are numerous elements on the theme of morality spread across the novel. Hemingway uses several indicators and scales to measure the amount of good and bad. The portrayal is to identify different attitudes and uniqueness of the individual characters. This article also analyses the work psychologically that causes the person to become an addict to certain habits such as sex, smoking and alcohol. The article also discusses the cultural differences in reality and among the characters themselves.

Abstract: The aim of this research is to investigate the effect of the leadership styles on employee performance in a non-profit making organization. This was a quantitative research that used a survey method. Data was collected from a sample of 168 employees in a non-profit making organization in Amman, Jordan. Simple random sampling was used. The SPSS and SMART-PLS statistical tools were used to generate descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The findings revealed that participative leadership is the most effective leadership style. However, the results revealed that autocratic and laissez faire leadership styles were not preferred. The findings supported the results from some earlier studies and bring out several new ideas such as the importance of participative leadership style. Based on the findings of this study, leaders should adopt more participative leadership style in non-profit organizations. The findings have also significantly contributed to the advancement of knowledge in employee performance. The paper’s primary contribution is that it provides an understanding that most effective leadership style in a non-profit organization.

Abstract: Money Laundering and terrorism funding has been a problem for years, with regulators and investigators facing difficulties in tracing illicit funds due to legislation and privacy issues. Money laundering using the traditional banking network, or through close relationship based transfers such as the “hawala” require complex investigations. The advent of technology-based money such as digital currencies and advancement of other financial technology, and the use of it under untraceable sites (Dark Web), only complicates the whole issue. The typical biased and wrong perception is that technology based crime can only be perpetrated by individuals who are highly skilled. Further consideration should be taken into account differentiating between the perpetrator, victim and the mechanism used, such as Crimeware-as-a-Service. This case study based research analyses the challenges faced by investigators when investigating crimesvia technology driven platforms, which includes the assessment of the techniques and legal ramifications to investigate and identify the perpetrators. The results reflect key points that need to be taken into account especially when the investigation involves cross-country jurisdictions as well as various legal frameworks.

Abstract: This paper presents the level of empowerment gained by the urban poor minorities of My Kasih program participants towards urban poverty alleviation in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. My Kasih is one of the few Non-governmental Organization focused to combat urban poverty issues in the country. This study was conducted at Kuala Lumpur urban squatters concentrated destination in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Mixed method approach was used where the quantitative outcome was compared with the qualitative data. In-depth interview which was used as the qualitative data collection method helped the researchers to justify the quantitative analysis which was done earlier. Descriptive statistics were utilized to obtain quantitative output. The results show that the community is not fully empowered and they are still dependent on outsiders’ help. It is hoped that the findings of this study will contribute to existing literature within urban poverty and socio-economic wellbeing spectrum.

Abstract: The object of the present paper is to obtain initial coefficients |𝒂𝟐|,|𝒂𝟑|,|𝒂𝟒|, upper bounds of |𝒂𝟑 − 𝝁𝒂𝟐 𝟐 | and second Hankel determinant associated with a class of analytic univalent function of sakaguchi type function related to sigmoid function in the open unit disc ∆. Various authors as Abiodum, Tinuoye Oladipo, Murugusundaramoorthy et. al., and Olatunji have studied sigmoid function for different classes of analytic and univalent functions.
